Executive Rewards Principal

Purpose of Job

We are currently seeking talented Executive Rewards Principal for our San Antonio, TX facility.

Responsible for design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and analysis of executive rewards programs including: base salary, short and long-term incentives, perquisites, reward and recognition programs, and non-qualified benefits. Ensures that the programs are understood by executives, competitive in the marketplace, adhere to applicable laws and regulations, satisfy business targets, provide measurable value and support the organization's strategic objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrates executive rewards thought leadership and strategy development, and applies technical subject-matter-expertise to produce innovative customer-centric executive reward solutions and complex work deliverables in support of departmental and Enterprise initiatives.
  • Performs professional duties in support of overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of the organization's executive rewards programs.
  • Stays current on executive reward guidance, law, and regulations (i.e. Dodd-Frank Act, SEC rules, etc.). Serves as a trusted strategic advisor to senior management, Board of Directors, and HR leaders.
  • Collaborates with and influences key stakeholders, control partners, and other leaders across the enterprise through complex written and verbal communications to executives that provide clear guidance on executive reward programs.
  • Develops and presents briefings to senior management and/or Board of Directors. Develops communication materials regarding plan mechanics and outcomes for all executives in the company.
  • Measure and evaluate how executive rewards programs are performing, and provide executive leadership with appropriate recommendations and action plans through appropriate analysis of benchmarking research and trends.
  • Develop data driven strategies and drive the development solutions to address complex issues involving high quality work products.
  • Analyze and forecast demographic, financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.
  • Partners with control functions on assessing incentive compensation program designs against Agency guidance on incentive compensation plans issued by regulatory bodies. Ensures that the programs adhere to laws and regulations and support the organization's cultural and strategic objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required
  • 4 years experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to complex executive rewards programs (base salary, short and long-term incentives, perquisites, reward, and recognition programs for executives)
  • Proven ability to create and present complex material to senior management and/or Board of Directors
  • Advanced analytical, critical thinking, strategic planning, communication, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple and complex tasks in a demanding work environment
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling (cost, opportunity, etc.) and data analysis tools and techniques
  • Subject-matter-expert knowledge of executive rewards programs and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required
  • Strong knowledge of public filings on executive rewards programs (proxy statements, 8-Ks, 10-Ks, etc.)
  • Significant subject-matter-expert level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • 8+ years experience of executive compensation design and administration
  • Experience creating presentations to senior management and Board of Directors on executive rewards programs
    Knowledge of executive benefits programs, processes, issues and considerations
  • Proven ability to design and implement special benefits programs targeted at an organization's executives
