Manager, Claims Operations (Auto Property Damage) - North West Territory

Purpose of Job

We are currently seeking talented Manager, Claims Operations for our North West Territory.

Manages auto, property, subrogation, and/or physical damage member service employees who are dedicated to knowing our members, understanding their individual needs, and providing appropriate solutions. Develops employees through regular coaching and feedback that leads to improved results. Executes process improvements and leads organizational process changes. Maintains compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Through a variety of tools monitors and reviews workload to ensure that all compliance requirements are addressed appropriately, payments are accurate, that there is consistent execution of standardized automated processes, and properly manages the expenses associated with adjusting a claim.
  • Provides consistent coaching and guidance related to a variety of aspects associated to the claim including but not limited to the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, settlement, and subrogation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; 2 or more years demonstrated leadership which may include people management experience in P&C Claims, Financial Services Industry, Customer Service Industry, or equivalent military service/environment AND actively enrolled in pursuing a degree may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 6 or more years P&C industry functional work experience OR
  • 4 or more years P&C experience plus military service experience OR
  • 4 or more years P&C experience and 2 years prior customer service related experience OR
  • 4 or more years P&C experience and a Manager Candidate School graduate.
  • Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license.

Preferred

  • 2 – 5 years or greater prior Auto Physical Damage experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Completed prior ICAR training OR formalized Auto Physical Damage Training

***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
