Business Applications Analyst Senior

Purpose of Job

We are currently seeking talented Business Applications Analyst Senior for our San Antonio, TX facility.

Provides complex analytical, business, and technical support related to strategic business functions, process, and applications. Leads and participates in efforts supporting business analytics and decision making processes including business, technology, and process improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Advises and provides analytical support to customers making decisions related to business and application direction and modifications, taking into account current and future business needs and opportunities.
  • Advises customers on and participates in the identification, research, and analysis of business, process, and technology opportunities.
  • Works to influence and implement business and process improvements leveraging change management skills and processes.
  • Maintains advanced understanding of business processes, supporting applications, and strategic direction.
  • Collaborates and exchanges information with team members, customers, and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified.
  • Leads team projects and activities using project management methodology.
  • Researches complex business issues requiring advanced knowledge of business principles and theories.
  • Leads and participates in development and/or maintenance of complex business analytics and decision support solutions.
  • Provides work direction and coaching to less experienced team members and may provide input on performance and development plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 6 or more years progressive operational systems or data support experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required.

  • Results driven with advanced facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Advanced expertise in the documentation of application specification, data flow, process flow, process SIPOC, process RASCI and application operational controls including Standard Operational Procedure (SOP)  
  • Advanced knowledge in process and application Failure Mode Effect Analysis(FMEA)
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with extensive knowledge in advanced statistical analysis that focuses on root cause analysis and implementation of Corrective Action (RCCA)
