The Opportunity
As a dedicated Liquidity Strategy Analyst, you will develop, implement, and monitor liquidity management strategies at the enterprise and line of business levels, utilizing proficient knowledge of the enterprise, financial services industry, regulatory and rating agency requirements, risk management, and financial planning. Additionally, you will provide analysis and support in the execution of complex liquidity and financial initiatives, prepare liquidity analysis and report it to governance committees, senior management, regulatory bodies, and the USAA Board of Directors, and ensures all activities are completed within compliance and regulatory policies and processes. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Apply proficient functional knowledge to produce complex work deliverables in support of strategies, tools, and methodologies to model, measure, monitor, and assess liquidity adequacy across the enterprise including insurance, investment, and banking subsidiaries
Execute the preparation of liquidity policies and comprehensive contingency funding plans
Apply proficient functional knowledge to produce complex work deliverables in support of balance sheet analysis integrating liquidity, cash, and investment strategies
Contribute to work deliverables and make recommendations in support of the deployment of liquidity across the enterprise and insurance, investment, and banking lines of business to meet multiple regulatory, rating agency, and internal management objectives
Provide analysis that supports the efficient management of cash positions for the enterprise, insurance, investment, and banking lines of business
Advise key stakeholders on liquidity management issues according to industry best practices
Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to senior analysts and management for submission to governance committees if a risk tolerance is exceeded
Evaluate stress scenario results and the establishment of contingency plans
Analyze stress scenario impacts to the USAA Consolidated/P&C/Bank/Life Contingency Funding Plans and associated liquidity metrics
Primary contributor to meet daily cash and liquidity reporting requirements
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
What you have:
Bachelor's degree; 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree
4 years of related experience in finance, risk management, treasury, capital and liquidity management, and/or accounting
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel
Proven ability to effectively influence and build cross-functional relationships with employees of various levels throughout the organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and present executive-level presentations
Ability to effectively work with both internal and external partners
What sets you apart:
Liquidity stress testing experience within a highly regulated environment
Understanding of and experience working with regulatory regimes i.e. The Federal Reserve, Office of the Comptroller Currency (OCC), and Texas Dept of Insurance (TDI)
Experience preparing and reporting analysis to governance committees, senior management, regulatory bodies, Board of Directors, etc
Financial modeling experience to include model governance, model risk management, and control testing
Project management experience

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $77,120.00 - $147,390.00.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
