The Opportunity
This opportunity may lead to selection into a two-year development rotational program following graduation. Rotational placings may vary depending on business needs. The Chief Financial Office (CFO) Future Leaders Program is crafted to develop entry level talent to be the future generation of leaders for the organization through meaningful projects and team assignments, senior leader exposure, and professional development opportunities within CFO at USAA. The program is a 2-year rotational program where participants will rotate through a series of ambitious and unique assignments. Each assignment will be approximately 12 months in length but may vary based on division and business needs. Throughout the rotation, participants can expect to improve their business and CFO acumen, leadership skills, gain exposure to key CFO areas and disciplines, get along with executive leaders, and receive frequent developmental feedback.

This position is based in San Antonio, TX or Charlotte, NC.
What you'll do:
Under direct supervision and following risk and compliance procedures and guidance, you will perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members tasks, including the following
- Within defined guidelines and frameworks, uses financial principles to solve business problems while performing forecasting, planning, and financial modeling related to income, profitability, liquidity, capital, leverage, asset and liability management or operating expense
- Supports preparation of recurring or ad-hoc financial reports and analysis or cost benefit analysis to support internal and external management decision-making.
- Under supervision, contributes to the preparation of advised, proactive analysis to enable effective decision-making and efficient resource utilization.
- Identifies and handles existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and ensures risks are optimally identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
- Ensures all activities are completed within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
What you need to have:
To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2025 internship will start on May 28, 2025 and last through August 8, 2025.
- Graduation date cannot be prior to August 8, 2025
- 0 to 2 years of related experience and accountability for simple to moderately complex tasks and/or projects required.
- Experience conducting financial/accounting research and producing reports
- Effective written, communication, presentation and computer skills including proven understanding of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis and relevant technical accounting/finance competence
What sets you apart:
- Academic concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics or related field
- Graduation date in Spring 2026
- Prior relevant financial internship experience
- Experience with financial statements, balance sheets, and/or Excel
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $22 - $30. Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
